Tear Trough Filler
WHAT ARE THE TEAR TROUGHS?
This is the area below your lower eyelid and above your upper cheek. This area is vulnerable to loss of volume which causes hollowness and darkness and the appearance of being tired, less vibrant and aged.
Darkness in this area can be hereditary or related to weigh loss, stress and age. Eye hollows can develop from an early age.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
This treatment can instantly make you look younger, fresher and more awake. We use a specialised dermal filler to fill in the hollows which makes the area more flat. This means light reflects off the skin evenly and corrects dark shadows.
We use a premium filler which also contains a cocktail of antioxidants and amino acids which rejuvenates and brightens the skin over time.
HOW LONG DOES THE FILLER LAST?
This depends on how much filler is used, we advise getting 1ml then a further 1ml after a minimum of 2 weeks for optimal effects.
Typically your treatment should last for 9-12 months, although this varies. You might find if you smoke, exercise regularly or have a fast metabolism it might wear of sooner than 9 months.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS
If performed by someone experienced, like here at Vital Aesthetics, this is a very safe procedure. We use a method which avoids the use of needles, this means there is rarely any bruising or downtown.
In the event that bruising occurs, it fades within a few days and can easily be covered up with makeup the following day.
