WHAT ARE LIP FILLERS?
Lip fillers enhance the volume and definition of your lips to achieve a more youthful appearance. You will also notice a reduction in the appearance of fine lines in your lips.
We use a range of products ranging from Juvederm, Teosyal and Restylane, all of which contain hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is naturally occurring in our bodies, it gives our skin elasticity and plumpness. Once injected, lip fillers attract water to create more plumpness.
This procedure is reversible and not permanent.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
This varies depending on the filler and quantity used. Typically it’s between 6-12 months although everyone is different. Factors such as age, metabolic rate, smoking and even kissing can cause the filler to be broken down sooner.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
You can expect some swelling and possible bruising for a few days so if you have an important event coming up we advice you to book in for your treatment at least a week before.
During your consultation we will go through everything so if you are worried about anything, we can discuss everything prior to treatment.
